1.Summary
To restrict the further spread of the Novel Coronavirus, businesses that shorten their business hours in accordance with the request from the Gifu Prefectural Government and for the entire duration of the request will receive a support payment (“The Second Coronavirus Infection Prevention Cooperation Payment”).

1 million yen per venue (information accurate as of 15 December 2020) 3.Application Requirements
Applicants must fulfil all of the following requirements:
●Be an eating or drinking establishment that serves alcohol (including karaoke and live music venues where alcohol is served)
◇Be operating under the required permit for eating and drinking establishments (Inshokuten-eigy?-kyoka) and serve alcohol. However, take-away only stores, delivery only stores, food trucks, and supermarkets and convenience stores with an eat-in space are not eligible.
◇Have been in operation before the Friday the 18th of December 2020 (the beginning of the period in which business are requested to shorten their hours) and be able to provide clear evidence of their preexisting business operations.
●Shorten business hours as requested between Friday 18th of December 2020 and Monday 11th of January 2021, ceasing to operate between 21:00 and 5:00 the next morning each day, cooperating in full without exception.
◇‘Cooperating in full without exception’ refers to the shortening of hours of all relevant businesses in the region(s) whose authorities issue requests to shorten business hours, for the complete period that the Government requests. Closing for the entire day is also acceptable.
●If the venue is a live music venue, host/hostess club (or similar, involving one-on-one direct customer service at close range), or a karaoke venue, has created, submitted, and received confirmation of a Coronavirus Prevention Manual.
●Have no connection of any kind to an anti-societal or violence group, or organized crime group.

◇Something that clearly states that hours will be shortened, that is visible to the general public.
◇For example: a poster or leaflet in the venue, or a sign on the venue’s website.
4.Documentary evidence that alcohol is sold;
5.Evidence of registration as an eating or drinking establishment;
6.Copy of the Coronavirus Prevention Manual (only for live music venues and host/hostess bars and the like; if the manual was submitted for the prior payment and is still the same, it does not need to be submitted again);
7.Copy of a document with the applicant’s bank account information;
8.Proof of Identification of the applicant.

In Minokamo City, more than 10 foreign residents have been tested positive in just 2 days of the Novel Coronavirus infection.
Let us continue doing our best to avoid infection by wearing a mask, washing hands, gargling, and avoiding going out unnecessarily.
We are also asking everyone to please avoid places with large group of people such as clubs, church activities and if possible please refrain from doing family gatherings or parties.
Requesting owners of sports gyms, clubs, heads of churches (priests and pastors) to please take precautionary measures to avoid infection among their patrons by maintaining distance with each other, making sure that the place is well-ventilated and disinfecting thoroughly.

After referring to the back page for entry guide and filling out all the application form, insert the form inside the attached return envelope (see below) and send it via post mail (stamp is not necessary).
Currently experiencing too many applications from foreign residents arriving to City Hall which may be in danger situation to coronavirus infections.
Please consider not to directly hand it over to the City Hall.
Application period is until 3 months. You do not need to be in a hurry if you have plenty of time.
(COVID-19) Regarding Response Measures Against the Novel Coronavirus update : 2020 May 15
1. All elementary and middle schools in Minokamo will reopen in stages (including Futaba Middle School) a) Some attendance will begin from the 25th of May (more details will be released soon) b) From the 1st of June, schools will run with students split into alternating groups that attend school separately for two weeks
2. All nurseries and kindergartens in Minokamo will open in stages - Childcare facilities will run as normal from the 1st of June
3. Public facilities in Minokamo (including public institutions under private management) will open in stages from the 1st of June
4. City parks and forests will open -From the 16th of May, parking lots will be reopened for use.
